The install was one of the most in-depth install we have completed for a standby generator.  The home did not have a gas source.  Everything in the home is powered by electric.  So as we choose the proper generator for the home, it needed to be rather large.  A large portion of the electrical load was able to be managed using Briggs and Stratton's load management system.  The home has a 400 amp electrical service.  A 400 amp, split 200 amp Symphony 2 transfer switch was installed.  We also used this opportunity to install whole house surge protection.  Below are a few pics of the install process.

With no source of gas to the home we chose to bury this 1000 gal LP tank in the side yard.  The tank is equipped with remote monitor. If the tank level falls below 30% the gas ccompany is notified and the tank is filled same day.
